While CDFIs have many supporters including advisory firms that help to channel more capital into the community development sector, few, if any, of these firms have taken a deep-rooted partnership approach to working with CDFIs. Through the Community Investment Portfolio, BECA is able to create deeper relationships with its partners. Our deeper relationship approach translates into support of specific community development deals that allow CDFI partners to better leverage their assets by taking smaller stakes in deals that we support. This leaves our partners with greater financial resources to support a larger number of community development projects.
